The Case for Swappable Laptop Batteries: A Return to Convenience
Share
The Dynabook Portégé Z40L-N is making headlines, but it’s not exactly what many tech enthusiasts hoped for. Although it features a dedicated compartment for its battery, the 56Wh battery is designed to be user-serviceable rather than easily swappable. Several other laptops also offer this convenience. However, one can’t help but wonder: what if you could carry an extra battery, charging it externally (potentially through a USB-C port), and swap it out without the need for tools at a moment’s notice?
This innovative approach could redefine portability and productivity for users on the go.
