Scout Motors Unveils All-Electric Terra Truck and Traveler SUV
Decades after introducing America to the sport utility vehicle, Scout Motors is making a remarkable return. This time, however, it’s all about electric mobility. The company, now an independent entity under the Volkswagen Group, has unveiled its first new-concept vehicles: the Scout Terra truck and the Scout Traveler SUV.
Revolutionizing Electric Vehicles
These modern vehicles are designed with a unique body-on-frame structure, utilizing a brand-new EV platform exclusive to Scout. Projected starting prices are expected to be under $60,000 (including incentives) when production kicks off in 2027.

- Impressive towing capacity: over 7,000 pounds for the Traveler and more than 10,000 pounds for the Terra

- Bidirectional charging and vehicle-to-home functionality
- One electric trim with up to 350 miles of range and an extended range model featuring a gas-powered range extender with over 500 miles of range
