Lenovo Unveils Next-Gen Laptops at Mobile World Congress 2025
Lenovo has recently showcased its latest generation of laptops at Mobile World Congress, featuring an impressive lineup that includes the redesigned ultra-lightweight ThinkPad X13, the first T-Series convertible 2-in-1 ThinkPad T14s, and a refreshed ThinkBook 16p workstation.
Introducing the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6
Among the highlights is the brand new ThinkPad X13 Gen 6, a 13.3-inch ultraportable laptop that has shed weight, now weighing only 2.05 pounds, compared to its previous version which weighed 2.25 pounds. This lightweight design positions it well against competitors, notably Apple’s lightest M3 MacBook Air at 2.7 pounds.
In terms of performance, users can choose between an AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 series processor or an Intel Core Ultra 7. The laptop can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD, alongside a replaceable battery option of either 41Wh or 54.7Wh.
The ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 will launch in North America in June 2025, with a starting price of $1,139.
ThinkPad T14s Goes Convertible
Lenovo is also transforming the previously announced ThinkPad T14s into a versatile 2-in-1 device. This model features a 14-inch WUXGA touchscreen boasting brightness of up to 500 nits. It can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7, 64GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Enhancing connectivity, the T14s offers an option for Wi-Fi 7 and additional 5G connectivity. The user can also replace the 58Wh battery as needed. For ports, it includes two Thunderbolt 4, two 5Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, a SIM card slot, and an audio jack.
The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 will be available starting June 2025 at an expected price of $1,719, while the traditional notebook version will launch concurrently at around $1,674.
ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 – A Powerhouse
Additionally, Lenovo introduced the powerful new ThinkBook 16p Gen 6, designed primarily as a desktop replacement. It boasts a remarkable 180W system TDP that can temporarily boost to 200W in "Geek Mode". This laptop is engineered for intensive tasks, featuring options for Intel Core Ultra 9 mobile processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, along with support for up to 64GB DDR5 RAM.
Ports on this device include two Thunderbolt 4, multiple USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, SD Card reader, SIM slot, and audio jack. Moreover, it sports a stunning 16-inch 3.2K IPS display, Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, and a fingerprint reader for added security.
Upcoming ThinkPads Launching in 2025
Finally, Lenovo plans to launch the ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 and T16 Gen 4 in North America in May 2025, featuring the choice of the Ryzen Pro AI 300 or Intel Core Ultra with expected prices of $1,359 and $1,623 respectively. Coming in Q2 2025, the affordable ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 for $849, E16 Gen 3 for $859, and ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 5 for $1,374 will also be released.
