At one point, the company had to advise customers against using the adapter due to speed issues, although Lectron confirmed that only a limited number of adapters were affected.

Expanding the BlueOval Charging Network

Alongside the announcement about NACS adapters, Ford has reported significant growth in its BlueOval Charging Network. This network now includes Tesla’s Supercharger stations, giving Ford EV owners seamless access to over 180,000 chargers across more than 50,000 locations. This marks a 40% increase from early 2024, vastly expanding the available charging options.

Ford is also enhancing user experience by integrating updates for EV owners utilizing Apple Maps through CarPlay. When planning a trip that requires charging, users will be routed to the nearest Tesla Superchargers, thus simplifying the journey for electric vehicle owners.
